"Steve! Come on baby! Wake up!" Tony held down Steve's arms and shook him.
Steve's eyes popped open and he gasped for air. Tears were rolling down his cheeks while he breathed heavily and shivered.
Tony pulled his husband into his arms letting him cry on his chest. Tony held the blonde close, who has been having nightmares almost every night. The billionaire playboy would come up from the lab and hear the yelling or he would already be asleep next to his blonde solider. Those ones always scared the crap out of him. Its very common for the nightmares in winter, scene his blonde solider was frozen.
"Shhhh," Tony rubbed Steve back, "It was just a bad dream Steve. It can't get you."
"Co-cold," Steve shivered, cling to the brunette's black shirt, that exposed his arc reactor.
Tony sat with Steve, who basically clung to him. Tony took Steve's face in his hands and whipped away his still falling tears. Steve blushed a light pink, that Tony always thought looked so cute.
"No need to cry Spangles. You got Iron man right here." Tony said with a smile throwing his arms around.
Steve chuckled, "I've got Tony."
Tony layed back and pulled Steve to his chest. The super solider cuddled close to the light blue that came from Tony's chest. Steve reached down and pulled the black blanket over them. Tony rubbed the blondes back saying soothing things trying to calm him. Soon Tony drifted off while Steve stayed awake, drawing little things on his husband's chest.
-The next day-
Tony came through the door with his 5 year old adopted son, Peter. They were dressed head to toe in snow gear, snow pants, winter jackets, gloves, boots, hats, and scarves. They were wet and cold from the snow, red noses and smiles on their faces. Steve stood in the kitchen doorway watching his husband and son take off their wet snow gear.
"I made hot chocolate," Steve said walking toward his family.
Peter cheered and ran into the kitchen with a quick thank you. Tony wrapped his arms around the blonde, who flinched away as the genius's cold hands touched his skin. Steve looked down at the floor before Tony leaned in and kissed his lips.
"I'm gonna go take a shower," Steve said still with a sad look on his face, "Watch dinner. It's in the oven."
Steve left toward their bedroom. The brunette sighed and walked into the kitchen to see his son hanging upside down on one of his famous webs.
"Get down," Tony grabbed his son and set him on the chair. He sat down with his son and drank hot chocolate.
"Papa woke me up again last night," Peter said. Tony stared at his son with concern. Peter didn't know about Steve's pass, how he was frozen and winters became hard for him, "He was screaming again. Really loud."
"Peter," Tony sighed, "it's hard for your Papa to sleep in the winter," Tony replied.
"I know daddy," Peter said slouching in the chair, "Why does Papa scream? and why doesn't he play outside with us in the winter? or why doesn't he like us after we play in the snow?"
"Well Peter remember how we told you Papa was in World War 2?" Tony started.
Peter nodded, "Yep."
Tony sighed, "Papa was in that war and did a lot of great things. He won some battles and inspired people. He also lost some friends. Then he got caught up in this mess and was on a plane. The bad guy was on the plane and Papa fought him and won but, the plane had bombs on it and Papa had to get rid of them. So he had to crash the plane into the water before it hit a lot of enacinte people. He crashed the plane into the water, were he was frozen. So Papa doesn't like snow, or ice, or anything cold. And he wishes he could go and play with us outside, and he does like us after we play in the snow."
"Okay, I understand," Peter says, "But, why does he scream?"
"Remember when you had that nightmare?" The billionaire asked checking on dinner.
"Yeah! It was sooooo scary and I had it for like a 5 weeks!" Peter explained throwing his arms around.
"Well Papa was something like that but, there about the war and freezing," Tony said sitting down.
"Ohhh," The spider jumped off his chair and ran off.
Tony ran his hand through his hair hoping that made scene to a 5 year old. Anyway he pulled dinner out of the oven and set the table. Steve wrapped his arms around Tony's chest as he came into the dining room in jeans and Tony's sweatshirt.
Tony turned around and looked at him, "You look better in that then me." Tony brought Steve into a hug,"I told Peter."
"You told Peter what?" Steve asked as he and Tony sat at the dinner table.
"Why you scream," Tony said.
Steve looked away, saying it in a wispear Tony barely heard him, "I woke him up again, didn't I?"
"Come on, Steve," Tony said grabbing Steve's hands, "He doesn't mind. He was just wondering. I told him, I think he understands. Its not a big deal."
"But it is a big deal, Tony," The blonde said looking at Tony with sad teary eyes, "He probably doesn't get enough sleep. I can't even comfort him when he's cold from outside, and I can't even play with him outside. You know how many times he has asked me that?" Steve was know walking around the dinning room, "Why I don't go outside with you two? or why I don't like him in the winter?"
"Steve, baby come here," Tony said, standing up and wrapping his arms around the crying solider.
Steve welcomed the hug, gripping onto the shirt, and crying onto Tony's shoulder. Tony rubbed Steve's back. Soothing words came out as he rocked his husband slowly. Steve backed up and rubbed his hands to his eyes, his cheeks red, nose runny. Tony kissed his forehead lightly, pulling him back to his chest. They heard quick pitter-patter of feet before they saw the boy.
The little boy wrapped his arms around his Papa's leg, "Don't cry Papa."
Steve looked down, smiled softly, and sniffling. He bent down and picked up his son, who wrapped his arms around his father's neck, "I'm okay, Petey."
"Whats this?" Tony asked taking a paper out of Peter's hand.
"Something for Papa," Peter said.
"Wanna trade?" Tony asked, smiling. He handed Steve the paper, who handed Peter over.
The blonde solider opened the folded paper,
Dear Papa,
I love you. So does daddy. It is ok you do not like snow. Or ice. Or really anything cold. But we still love you. It is okay you do not play in winter as long as you play with me in summer. You are the bestest ever. I love you.
Love Peter.
P.S. Could we please turn down the heat?
On the other side of the card was a drawing of the 3 of them. All stick figures but, you could tell who was who. Tony had brown hair, black scribbled shirt, blue pants, and light blue mixed with the black. Steve had blonde hair, blue shirt, blue jeans, and he was a little shorter then Tony. Peter was of course the shortest, brown hair, brown shirt, and blue pants.
Steve was tearing up even more. He looked up at Peter and Tony, pulling them into a tight tight hug.
-Later that night-
Tony came up late from the lad. He was looking at the card while Steve laid in bed, fast asleep for once.He smiled and climbed into bed, pulling Steve close. The pull slowly woke up the blonde, looking up at Tony through tired eyes. Closing them once again and snuggling into the blue light coming through his chest.
Hey Steve?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."

When the Truth Hurts
Tony paced around the hospital waiting hall, desperate for a drink. Steve was sitting down, following Tony with his eyes, his leg twitching. Both were silent.
The fight was unbalanced, the enemy was grasping the Avengers' techniques and was more capable of dodging the attacks. The team didn't have a plan, they were just exhausting themselves trying to take him down. But the odds changed when Spiderman came to their aid.
They had heard of Spiderman, but didn't know who was under that mask or if he could be trusted. But when he appeared out of nowhere, the element of surprise distracted their enemy, which opened an opportunity to take him dow

In which Peter sneezes
"Steve!" Tony yelled from upstairs. It was Steve's turn to do the dishes - and it really was this time, not just Tony ditching on his domestic duties - and he was just finished, so he ran to their room. "Peter sneezed!" Tony said, wiping the 3 year old's nose.
Steve frowned and approached them, kneeling in front of the bed they were both sitting in. He put his hand Peter's forehead to check his temperature.
"He doesn't seem to have a fever."
"Are you sure?" Tony asked frantically. "Maybe he caught something when we went to the park earlier. We should go to a hospital just to make sure."
"Tony, relax! We're not going to take our son to a h

Proposal
"Daddy, why aren't you and Papa married?"
That was a good question, wasn't it? One answer that popped in Tony's mind was that he never though about getting married. But well, he never thought he'd be living with Captain America or that he would adopt a child. A few years ago if someone said that one day there would be a small 6 year-old boy in his garage watching him work, Tony would laugh so hard he'd probably fall into a coma.
"I don't know, Peter."
"Do you want to marry him?"
Tony stopped to think. Did he want to marry Steve? He already woke up next to him every morning, they took Peter to school together, had meals together, cleaned t
